Our Model WM49 Sump Pump with a 20′ cord is designed to remove unwanted groundwater in basement sump applications.  The 1/4 HP “Water Ridd’r” Model 49 is a fully automatic float-operated sump pump.  The WM49’s tethered float switch utilizes a mechanical float switch for operating the pump.   This is a time-tested method of controlling the pump.  The Model 49 is a compact option for small sump pits.

The Model 49 pump is constructed with a cast iron motor housing.  This enables it to withstand the most demanding basement sump applications.  The corrosion resistant engineered plastic vortex impeller has a smooth surface allowing water and solids to pass freely through the pump.  All of the Model 49’s hardware is made of high-quality stainless steel.  All of these features highlight the fact that it was designed with longevity in mind balanced by price.
