Home » Case Studies » Basement Flood...
As a large storm was approaching the area the power went out and rain continued throughout the night. With no power and no back up plan the basement flooded. The sump pump that was in the basement was unable to turn on and over 5 inches of water poured into the basement during the storm.
In order to prevent the basement from flooding again it was recommended that a battery backup system be installed in the basement as a direct replacement for the existing sump pump. The plumber recommended an Aquanot Fit Propak with an M63 sump pump. The homeowner also wanted to be alerted when their pump lost power so the Fit was recommended as it is Wi-Fi capable with Zoeller’s Z Control.
The Aquanot Fit with an M63 was installed into the existing pit and the homeowner was shown how to connect their device to the their home Wi-Fi and get connected the Z Control as the Aquanot Fit has Wi-Fi capabilities. Z Control allows the homeowner to have piece of mind even when they are not home to make sure their basement will never flood again.
