Our Model MX4161 is the industry’s only automatic explosion-proof pump rated for Class 1, Division 1, Groups C & D or Class 1, Zone 1, Groups IIA & IIB.  The 1/2 HP MX4161 is a fully automatic effluent pump that is equipped with a brass float that prevents sparking in hazardous locations.

The pump’s vortex impeller allows it to pass 3/4″ spherical solids.  The impeller’s clearance in relation to the pump housing allows water and solids to pass freely through the pump.  This combination of design features lessens the chance of clogging and downtime.

The Model MX4161’s motor housing, pump housing, and base are each constructed of cast iron. The pump’s identification tag, handle, and hardware are made of non-corrodible stainless steel. This attention to detail ensures that the Model MX4161 is able to withstand the most demanding effluent applications.

Every pump is submerged in water and tested to its published performance curve, ensuring it meets your expectations and delivers peace of mind right out of the box.
